Treks that combine with the Langtang Valley adventure are fantastic adventures into the Himalayas. The Langtang area is as wild as any Tibetan moorland, with quiet rural landscapes and a rich cultural history of ethnic Nepalese Tamang people. Despite being only a few hours' drives from Kathmandu, the trip over the off-beaten route of the rural and rocky mountains and the high passes dotted with chortens, stupas, and prayer flags billowing in the wind makes every trekker wonder why the nation is known as a "walker's paradise." A realm of enchantment, wonder, meditation, and shamanism. Langtang is also a site of historic Tibetan monasteries, rhododendron and bamboo forests, red Panda habitat, breathtaking waterfalls, and snow-capped Himalayas.
